As themes, he prefers to try and bring back the principles of the world of the knights and troubadours, singers and instrument players who are extremely dedicated to their arts, aiming and reaching to the peak of their careers. Being fond of the old stories from old times, he tries to bring back to the attention of the modern world the solid foundation of governing principles which once guided the world. He strongly believes that the old achievements of humanity shouldn’t become forgotten, and that ancient knowledge and humanity heritage should be preserved.
He prefers to explore the traditional materials - marble, wood, and metal, especially bronze.
In his works, he is looking to obtain harmony between the specific elements of visual arts which the art of sculpture operates with : rectangular and round forms, convex and concave planes, flat and curved surfaces, straight and curved lines, smooth or rough textures.
Crossing points of different fields serve as inspiration: western and oriental philosophy, travelling, observing people and moments which they create by acting according to their understanding. Bogdan’s creative process has many aspects and facets where ideas could be developed using the conscious mind working with the pencils on paper, allowing sometimes to receive answers from the depths of the unconscious mind.
Bogdan’s artistic goals have been always to create, and, to reflect in his artistic projects the principles of nature and Universe by further mastering the principles of composition, especially the principle of harmony, and thus reaching the public’s emotional cords and in this way to accomplish what the ancient Greeks called “katharsis”.
His artworks have been exhibited mostly in his country, Romania, but some of the artworks have crossed its boundaries being in private collections in Germany and Ireland. He is open to having collaborations and to receiving commissions, while some of the artworks if desired, could be acquired by contacting him via email or phone.
